Responsible for record keeping and medical records management for a long-term care and short-term rehabilitation / sub-acute care nursing center.
Prepare charts for new admissions, close medical records upon discharge, maintain physician's orders and visit schedules, and audit to ensure records management meets center's policies and procedures, professional standards, and state and federal laws and regulations for long-term care facilities.
Qualifications for a Medical Records Clerk:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
CNA Licensure in the state of Practice (this is not required unless the center prefers it) Experience reading and interpreting medical terminology required.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Windows, Computer-Based Programs and Internet-Based Applications required.
Prior experience in Medical Records or related healthcare support position in a LTC / Skilled-Nursing experience a plus ABOUT US Arbor Trail, located at 611 Turner Camp Road, Inverness, FL 34453, is a 116 bed, skilled nursing center that offers in-patient residential care, short-term rehabilitation and specialty services.
Our property features private and semi-private rooms, landscaped grounds, 7-day per week admissions, and rehabilitation gym with 7 day per week therapy, and we accept a wide variety of insurance plans.
