06/hour General Description:
Full-time position working day shift, Monday through Friday and as otherwise required based upon the agency and division's needs.
This position requires on call status and must be available nights, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Functions:
Completes advanced tasks involving writing, editing, and posting Sheriff's Office publications, news releases, newsletters, media posts, and media alerts Establishes and maintains a customer service-oriented relationship with all members of the Sheriff's Office and with the citizens of Citrus County Responds to crime scenes, emergency management situations, or as directed Assists with the coordination and execution of agency news conferences, either pre-planned or impromptu Maintains a proactive approach in developing and designing comprehensive marketing strategies for the Sheriff Office Ensures products are informative, professional, and advance the agency's mission, vision, and values Creates and plans programs and/or campaigns engaging the support of the community and employees Designs, implements, and updates various media plans and tracks media coverage Assists with social media accounts and continually explores other venues as technology progresses to ensure complete market coverage Continually collaborates with other governmental and county agencies to ensure information sharing and resources are optimally utilized best serving the agency and community Ensures timely redactions, delivery, and correspondences with all public record requests in accordance to Florida Statutes chapter 119, to include, but not limited to, arrests, 911 calls, and other requested documentation Speaks at community and agency related events Performs other related tasks as assigned All Citrus County Sheriff's Office employees are considered 'essential workers' and are subject to working in any capacity/hours deemed necessary by the Agency during activations, including but not limited to, in-County and out-of-County deployments.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or another closely related field required; OR comparable education, training, and experience may be substituted at the hiring board's discretion for the minimum educational requirements.
Three years of responsible public relations or marketing experience in the public or private sector is preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
